Vision: To provide lacrosse opportunities for boys and girls at all skill levels in numbers that adequately support the high school lacrosse programs of Grand Island High School.

Grand Island has a very rich history of lacrosse. Coach Bill Riffel started the boy's high school program in the late 1970's as a club team. Grand Island began its varsity campaign in 1982. In the 1990's, Grand Island Lacrosse established itself as one of the premier lacrosse programs in Western New York, winning Class B sectional titles in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1995. The Vikings began the new millennium off the right way winning another sectional championship in 2000. Coach Ted Lee took over the program in 2014 and built Grand Island back into a contender. The Vikings won the Section VI Class C sectional title in 2017.
